Oh goodness, where to start...
I enjoy traveling and experiencing other cultures. I love being continually surprised by joy through walking with God. My heart beats for the least, the lost, and the unlovely. I am determined to live intentionally, waiting on God's wisdom in each new season of life.
I went to a university in the beautiful Pacific Northwest where I studied nursing & psychology and was very involved in student ministry. After graduating I worked for three years as a nurse at the Mayo Clinic. Although I loved working for Mayo, I was restless and wanted something more. I eventually left in order to pursue overseas medical missions. I spent a total of 14 months in West Africa with Mercy Ships working as a charge nurse and helping to coordinate the VVF (vesico-vaginal fistula) program. Although I've been a Christian for many years it was during my time in West Africa that I really began to learn that He is faithful, and He is enough.
I'm currently home in the US and working on a master's degree in nursing. I'll graduate in December 2012 as a Family Nurse Practitioner. After that? I don't know-- yet. God has a habit of only showing me one step at a time which makes me wait for His leading and hard as it is I wouldn't have it any other way. His dreams are so much grander than mine!
Through blogging I have found some wonderful, like-minded people that I consider a great encouragement. Although we may never meet in this life it is a pleasure to walk on this journey with each of you. Please feel free to email me and leave comments!
